June 30, 2020 – Advisory: Composite Record Definition Must Reference Implemented Linkage Definition
The recommendations in this advisory apply to:
- HealthShare Patient Index 2018.1
- HealthShare Patient Index 2019.1
- HealthShare Patient Index 2019.1.2
- HealthShare Patient Index 2019.2
- HealthShare Patient Index 2020.1
InterSystems has updated the Patient Index documentation to remind customers who use a site-specific linkage definition that they must identify this definition in the Configuration Registry using the key: \HSPI\LinkageDefinition
Patient Index comes with a default “Local” Composite Record definition that you can use or customize. The Local definition uses the default linkage definition, rather than the one indicated by the Configuration Registry. If you enable the Local Composite Record definition or create a custom Composite Record definition, you must modify it to reference the linkage definition indicated in the Configuration Registry.
If your Composite Record definition references the wrong linkage definition, you may see an “Undefined” error during Patient Search, or the system may not correctly construct the Composite Record from multiple sources, resulting in incorrect patient demographics in search results.
