Accurate, trusted data is imperative for informed decision-making in the healthcare industry, given the difference that it can make with accuracy in patient outcomes. Hospitals produce approximately 37 terabytes of data per day, more than twice the amount of data stored in the Library of Congress, according to HealthTechMagazine. This volume of data creates challenges for health systems to vet all the data for accuracy and relevancy.

InterSystems has earned the Certified Data Partner designation in the new National Committee for Quality Assurance’s (NCQA) Data Aggregator Validation (DAV) program, as part of the latest NCQA cohort to earn this NCQA Certification that recognises adherence to NCQA data standards. This certification is given to organisations that demonstrate impressive data accuracy and availability through the NCQA’s rigorous assessment. The validation activities include a virtual site review with staff interviews and a review of documentation, queries, and systems.

Earning the NCQA certification for two consecutive years is an incredible achievement for our team as we continue our mission to deliver trusted data management solutions that improve providers’ ability to accurately diagnose, treat, and care for patients. NCQA Data Aggregator Validation is a voluntary program that evaluates clinical data streams to help ensure that health plans, providers, government organisations and others can trust the accuracy of aggregated clinical data. Our team is committed to continuing to meet the NCQA’s metrics of success to provide customers with an increased level of confidence in the data utilized in patient care plans.
