Removing the Data Bottleneck: 2024 Data Management trends to help unlock the business value in your data

The IT industry is maturing and has shifted to focus on the use and purpose of information and therefore the criticality of digital literacy and governance. Cloud, Edge Computing and the Internet of Things (IoT) now offer tantalising glimpses of spotting new business opportunities faster and driving increased productivity. But the sheer volume of data being produced and, crucially, the geographic spread of where that data is being generated, poses significant challenges for existing data management methods and technologies.

AI in general, and Generative AI in particular, are hot topics. In this talk, we will be looking at the requirement for, and implications of, being AI ready for both data and organisations. We’ll discuss how current trends such as data fabrics affect the technologies and methodologies that seek to tackle the challenges of extracting business value from increasingly distributed and constantly changing data, crucial for near real-time analysis.
